ABOUT ME

I am a dependable, client centred commercial, architectural and interiors photographer living in Cumbria in the North West of England.

I started as a professional photographer later than many, after a successful career as a police officer in London. I now live in the beautiful and very picturesque South Lakes region of Cumbria. The environment and architecture of the region are often the inspiration for my photography.

I produce images based on my client’s wishes, but my style revolves around clear vibrant images, using strong composition and really good light, be that natural or artificial or an appropriate combination of both.

Over the years I have worked with a diverse range of people, initially as a uniformed police officer then moving into special operations, including ten years as a bodyguard for the British Royal Family. I feel I bring a unique and relevant mix of skills to the world of professional photography.

What this experience means for the client is, as well as producing great photographs, I am honest, approachable and extremely reliable. I listen carefully to each client’s brief and can represent organisations at the highest levels with discretion, always sensitive to the wishes of the clients and their business needs.

I pride myself on my ability to communicate effectively with people, even in stressful situations. I understand the importance of planning and preparation, and apply the same attention to detail to each project regardless of the size of the commission. I am CRB checked and for much of my working life have held a government security clearance; while working as a royal bodyguard I was also trained to a very high standard of first aid and have an excellent working knowledge of Health & Safety legislation. I am as comfortable working half way up a Lake District mountain as I am in a private home, or corporate office.

In employing me, you the client will get high quality images tailored to your individual requirements, taken by a photographer you can have 100% confidence in.
